The USB section of the interface uses the highly reliable FTDI Chipset and provides a virtual comm port allowing full CAT control and hardare PTT keying over the RTS signal. The Tx/Rx audio signals are galvanically isolated by Bourns 600:600 Ohm transformers and the hardware PTT is opto-isolated. At the radio end, it plugs into the CAT and Data ports.
